Strange red thing happening when I hit Submit Reply?

    Today, whenever I press on Submit Reply to comments, the comment doesn’t disappear and there is no green flash. Instead, the comment is left and next to Cancel, a red square forms. Once I press Dashboard and leave that area, I see the comment. How can I change it back to normal?
