# strange parse error

 * I have been using this wordpress for over a year and all of a sudden today I 
   get the following error when trying to visit the site:
 * Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/hynesigh/public_html/clients/
   nya/wp-content/themes/default/functions.php on line 231
 * Any ideas what could have happened?

 * oh dear – this is 6 months old with no answer, and it exactly (or nearly) describes
   my situation.
 * I just got this, navigating to the main page of my blog:
 * > Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /hsphere/local/home/rockvill/
   > tikvatisrael.org/blog/wp-content/themes/default/functions.php on line 407
 * truck808 – did you manage to fix it?
    i’m due to download the latest update, 
   so maybe that’ll fix it!
