Hi @ateacme
Thanks for using our plugins.
We are investigating and will release an update soon.
Hope this helps.
Hi @ateacme
We noticed this issue disappears if you clear your website’s cache – not just your browser cache (any speed optimisation plugin like WP Rocket, Nitropack, or your hosting panel like WPEngine cache).
Does it help?
If not, what browser and version do you use?
Can you share the site URL?Thanks
Hi, I tried by claering both website and browser cache.
The icon is now visible everywhere but it’s still strange and not centered in the circle (both in crome and firefox browser).
Now it looks like a boat rudder.

Are you testing in incognito window?
If so, what browser and version do you use?
The icon looks fine on our screens:

Hi,
Yes I’m testing in incognito window.
Here you can find browser version and links with screenshot:

– firefox 106.0.5

Hi there Moove Agency
I am experiencing the same issues on different sites – here is a screenshot of before the upgrade (left) and after (right).
https://app.screencast.com/NeNy8JG38cc7hI have also tested in different windows (including incognito) and in different browsers and the problem persists so it’s not just one person.
It looks even worse on a mobile phone!
Tracey
Thanks for reporting this.
This is fixed in our latest version.
Hope this helps.
Hi @mooveagency
Here’s a screenshot : I’m afraid it hasn’t
https://app.screencast.com/vAe9pRfibPs1KIt’s now got a weird symbol not even related to a cog… you can see it here : https://www.officersmess-stgeorgesbarracks.co.uk/
Tracey
That’s the new symbol: C for Cookie Settings
We had to remove the previous SVG icon as some users complained about it.
Hope this helps.
Hi, I think no one can intuitively understand that is a symbol for managing cookie options… maybe you could add an option to choose the symbol in complete autonomy
@ateacme I completely agree – the cog symbol is the universal symbol for changing settings on anything.
@mooveagency This “C” symbol has no universally understood meaning, and with the strip in the middle it looks like a truncated on/off switch.
I would definitely prefer the cog back – or to have a choice please…
@traceyrissik I completely agree – This “C” symbol has no universally understood meaning… maybe you could add an option to choose the symbol in complete autonomy.
Hello, the previous icon was inconsistent on different devices/browsers, but the current icon is even worse, since this theory that it is a “C” for Cookie… is just a theory, because first of all it doesn’t look like a “C “, looks like a logo.
Also, the gear symbol is universally understood from “settings”, but this nobody will guess what it is or what it is for.
I hope they rectify quickly or we will have to change to other plugin. Two customers have already complained today…-

We can see that this is a very important issue for you 🙂
So we listened and restored the ‘Settings’ SVG icon on the floating button. New version released today.
Hope this helps.
