 * For some strange reason, a new page is accessible publicly on my WordPress site.
I didn’t create the page, it showed up as a link accessed by a visitor, which
I noticed in my admin dashboard via a plug-in allowing me to see who’s been to
   my site.
 * The page was accessed several times and is in the root directory. It reads: /
my-front-page/slide-1a-4. The link should not be there even though the “slide”
is an image upload to the page at my root. I never put a link to the image, nor
   did I create a page named my-front-page.
 * When I view my site I can type my-front-page after the root URL and it defaults
to home page. When I add the /slide-1a-4 link it shows a page of my site with
a small version of the image and a complete web page of my URL. Both of these
pages SHOULD be a 404 error, which will lock visitors out of the site for 5 hours.
 * Can someone tell me how this page arrived? It doesn’t show up in the “Pages”
section of the dashboard and I do not know how to find a directory of every link
to my website. Check it out for yourself at [http://matthewpetti.com](http://matthewpetti.com)
 * I appreciate your help in explaining how to access the directory of my links
   and delete this!

 * I can see the page and can find no errors that would cause that.
 * Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves
the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find
the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting
the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin
can still cause problems. – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out
   any theme-specific problems.
 * You can also delete the page from the database.
