Title: Strange link Last modified: August 21, 2016 --- # Strange link * Resolved [Oldthom](https://wordpress.org/support/users/oldthom/) * (@oldthom) * [12 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/strange-link-1/) * I have just noticed that one of my posts on my blog (oldish post) now has a link to a PPI site run by someone called Paul Mason. I certainly didn’t put it there and I can’t seem to remove it. I have tried deleting all the text in the post leaving just the heading but when I go to ‘View Post’ the text and the link are still there. Can anyone help? I have Wordfence, is there another plug in that would stop people being able to put links into a post. The link is in the text and doesn’t show up when I try to edit the post but is there when anyone looks at the post itself. Sorry this is so long, panicking a bit! I’m not sure of any plugins that could prevent this. I put the text back and the link is still there. I keep finding stuff related to that link on google, but nothing telling me what it is or how it got there.
