My website itself looks fine, but there’s something wrong with the dashboard.
There are several lines of strange code (I’ve pasted them below – where it starts “Warning…”) appearing along the top of the dashboard. I can scroll down the dashboard, but not the left menu. I also can’t click on the left dashboard menu. So, therefore cannot actually do any work on my site. Also, strangely, the WordPress News window that appears on the right hand side of the dashboard seems to be effected as well. Some of the characters in the text are messed up.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Try manually resetting your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks for the tips. I did try resetting the plugins – it didn’t help. I’m going to try the other suggestion, but before I do, just wanted to clarify – there aren’t any visible problems with my site. It looks fine, loads fine, etc. etc. The problem is only with the WordPress Dashboard. This seems unlikely (from my admittedly limited knowledge) to be a theme-related issue. It seems to be some sort of WordPress related issue. Thoughts?

As mentioned, “theme functions can interfere like plugins,” especially since all of your errors note /wp-content/themes/attitude-pro/library/functions/update_notifier.php as the cause. 😉

Yep! It was the theme! Thanks for your help!
