• Hi all,

I’m having a very strange issue with my new install of WordPress 3.9.2. I created a post, and published it then clicked the view post link, only to get a 404 error.

So I returned to the posts admin screen and, sure enough, there was no post to be found there.

So I created another one using the same info, and noticed that the auto URL creation was appending a 2 to the URL (seemingly because the other post had taken the first URL). I clicked on the view post link only to get the same 404 error.

I returned to the post screen and the original post was there, but not the second post. The numbers after the filters said (2), indicating that the first and second posts were being found somewhere.

Anyway, the home page does indeed show the first post, but not the second, and viewing the first post now works, but the second still returns 404 and is not in the admin area.

I tried downloading a DB clean plugin, and it cleaned it to no avail. I still cannot see the last post.

Adding a third post showed the first and second posts, but not the third.

I then downloaded the MiwoSQL plugin, to look at the database, and it all looks okay there, I can see all three posts and their revisions. At that point I decided to come here, in case it was a known issue.

Some searching hasn’t shown anything that seemed related, just some theme bugs introduced when the user modified it. Does anyone have any idea how to go about fixing this please?
