• Resolved brokenengine

    (@brokenengine)

Site customization completely breaks breaks with latest WP-Optimize enabled.
The top part is how it’s supposed to look and the bottom part is how it looks with PHP 8 enabled: https://ibb.co/nnHn4T7
I’ve tried cleaning cache for all pages, purging minify cache multiple times but none of of that fixes the issue with PHP 8. Only disabling the plugin fixes the appearance of the site.
The issue is not related to the Generatepress theme I use on the site and the fact that the issue resolves immediately after disabling WP-Optimize proves that. I’ve reverted back to PHP 7.4 for this issue.
Please fix it.. Thank you so much for this awesome plugin!

  • @brokenengine It looks like there’s compatibility issue with PHP 8, I’ll report this issue to our development team so WP-optimize can made be compatible with PHP 8.

@bornforphp Thank you, I hope this gets fixed soon. 🙂

We use PHP 8.0 and it works well, both cache and minify. However it does not show the minified files size, it’s always 0.

@wipx Could you please try to de-activate then activate WP-Optimize plugin again and check if it helps to fix the issue?

Unfortunately no change. The wp-content/cache/wpo-minify/… folder is empty

However there is a significant speed boost when Minify is enabled so something is happening…!?

    Minify cache size:

Current cache: 0 bytes (0 files) View the files
Total cache: 0 bytes (0 files)

    Last Minify cache update: 2021-07-17 @ 18:23

@wipx I think it should be compatibility issue with PHP 8.0, I’ve reported this to our development team and they should investigate this further and update it in next release.
