The images uploaded appear to be at the correct URL so its just wordpress somehow adding my site url before the image url creating the image error.

Where in settings can i stop it from doing this?

    Many thanks

Well, i managed to fix the code using the search and replace plugin.

I will post this here to help anyone with the same issue who needs a solution and comes across this thread.

Firstly i didnt find any documentation online stating how to use this plugin. Its very easy but if your a novice not so easy. All you need to do is:

    – Backup your blog
    – Install the plugin
    – Go on your website and find an example of the first part of the link you need the plugin to search for and replace. This will typically be one of the broken image links but not the image specific part.
    – Type in the URL that this needs to be.
    – Check all the boxes and submit.
    – Thats it.

Would you believe that when installing the plugin and searching to replace the old url’s with the new i didnt realise i needed to include the “http://” element before the new link.

Going back and doing this resolved the issue and repaired all the old image links.

If you need help doing this please contact me i will be happy to offer advice where i can.
