  • Hi skygazer,
It looks like you are using a tracking/analytical service on your website, and these parameters are related to this service (experiment, network_default, position, etc…), since there is a MaxPoint crawler there, it could be something related to MaxPoint service?

Hi Wfalaa, I truly appreciate your time and effort in replying, thank you.

I’m not using any tracking software KNOWINGLY. And the only analytics I KNOWINGLY use is Google Analytics. I don’t know how those crawlers like Max Point do what they do and add those extensions but the files they try to link to are always in yellow status in your plugin since they don’t exist. I normally would just ignore but at one point it was getting out of hand and many many per hour would show up and in that list (experiment, network_default, position, etc…) also included “login lift” and while I don’t know what that means, it doesn’t look like something harmless.

By the way, is there a way I could speak to you privately, I would like to ask something about a financial contribution to your plugin.

No need to worry about that, it could be a simple glitch in a plugin or a tracking service that utilize such parameters so that crawlers try to follow these weird URLs.

You can check our Contact page, I think you can use “General Business Inquiries” email in this case.
