I’m having to restore my site from backups. I’m using the latest version of Updraft.

I set my backup directory settings and proceeded to restore.

I was able to restore my Plugins and also themes however the rest of the components updraft would not restore, it said:

    Error: Download failed

backup_2015-10-29-1605_uploads.zip: The backup archive for this file could not be found. The remote storage method in use (none) does not allow us to retrieve files. To perform any restoration using UpdraftPlus, you will need to obtain a copy of this file and place it inside UpdraftPlus’s working folder (updraft)

Now the directory scan found these files and yet updraft is saying that I’ve not got a backup method set for these files? Seems like a bug at your end I think.

Now this is strange, I loaded the previous version of updraft and with that I was able to restore uploads, but when it came to restore others I got the same error.

    Hi,

Are you storing your backups on the server, or are you using a remote storage method?

If you are storing them on the server, could you check the wp-content/updraft (or your backup directory if this has been changed) directory, and see if the failing backup file is present?

Could you also send a copy of the migration log? This can also be found in the above directory. It will be too long to post here, but you can use an online service such as pastebin

I’m using FTP to my server, I’ll go and check, but, Updraft itself confirms the files are there, it just tell me I’ve got no backup method set when I come to restore them.

Yep they are all there, in the original directory

I’m manually downloading them to my pc and then uploading them to updraft as a workaround
