# Strange Comments

 * I am new to WordPress so I apologise if this is an obvious question.
 * I have a website that has been running for about 9 months and this week I started
   to get a large number of strange comments. They are general comments that appear
   to be referring to another site and linked to Facebook accounts such as
 * “forward two years and I have had the honour of phiorgoaphtng their growing family
   twice see last years family session …”
 * Often with spelling mistakes. Are these just auto generated SPAM that have similar
   themes to my website. Strange that they only just started this week.
 * I have Akismet installed

 * Hi. Yes there are just spam comments.
 * You have Akismet installed, but did you activate the API key?
 * Click on the Akismet settings and make sure that you have gotten an API key.
