[Resolved] Strange behaviour output related posts

  • Hi,

I set the plugin to show the related posts which have at least one category and one tag in common. When I created the posts (let’s say 5 posts) within one category and one simular tag, I check if every post has the same related posts (4). After clicking one of the post in the related list I get a post which shows only 1 related post. When I re-save this post I see all the related posts (4) of this category.

So I must re-save every post to get the correct output.

This, unfortunately, is a side effect of the way caching works in YARPP. When that post with only 1 related post was saved, only one related post exists, and it saved that result.

YARPP’s caching system is relatively aggressive, but this has been important to make YARPP less computationally intensive on many sites.

If you want to every clear the cache to force recomputation with new candidate posts, you can use the YARPP Experiments plugin to flush the cache.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your feedback on this.
I will try the plugin you mentioned.
