    Hi Par,

I saw something strange in my site making outbound connections through Amazon for every item in Simple History. Example:

    Guest 1 01-19-2015 08:47 am 54.221.199.147 United States Ashburn, VA /?SimpleHistoryGuid=58 No

    IP address info:

54.221.199.147 IP address location & more:
IP address [?]: 54.221.199.147 [Whois] [Reverse IP]
    IP country code: US
IP address country: ip address flag United States
    IP address state: Virginia
    IP address city: Ashburn
    IP postcode: 20146
    IP address latitude: 39.0437
    IP address longitude: -77.4875
ISP of this IP [?]: Amazon Technologies
    Organization: Amazon.com
Host of this IP: [?]: ec2-54-221-199-147.compute-1.amazonaws.com [Whois] [Trace]
Local time in United States: 2015-01-19 22:29

Am I mis-remembering something about how this plugin works? Just not sure why it would be sending any info at all out to ‘somewhere’. A little concerned till I understand this better.

Just trying to figure out how this company is getting details about my test site.

That sounds strange and I don’t think that outbound call is originating from Simple History. The only outgoing call could be the call to gravatar.com to fetch the gravatar for the user. I’m not tracking the users of the plugin or anything…

I’m marking this as resolved because I’m 99.99 % sure this has nothing to do with simple history, but please keep us updated on what the cause of this way, I’m pretty curious must I say!
