Strange behavior

  • redsoxnut

    @redsoxnut

    When my blog is returned as a result of a google search clicking on the result from google brings the searcher to the category listing from which the post that contained the search terms he or she was looking for as opposed to the post itself.
    Did that come out right? Let me know if I should rephrase.

    That’s not strange behavior, it’s normal behavior. Google takes 4-6 weeks to index each page in your site. IOW, Google has had your Category pages indexed since they began, and updating the index is very quick. Unfortunately, each post is a new page. Therefore, Google will take 4-6 weeks before your individual post is indexed.

    <meta name=”robots” content=”<?php echo (!$single?’no’:”); ?>index,follow” />
