That sounds very odd…
When you go to the user’s profile page, what are the ccaps listed there near the bottom of the page?
And what is the exact name of the ccap you entered in the page’s s2Member box to protect it?
If you can show me screenshots of each it’d be even better.
I’ll try to reproduce that behavior in my installation to see if I can.
Looking forward to your update. 🙂

Thank you!
I have created a screencast to show you what is happening.
click to watch
at the very bottom of the page, this is the ccap that works
access_s2member_ccap_launch, access_s2member_ccap_elite
The one that doesn’t work says
access_s2member_ccap_fastlaunch, access_s2member_ccap_elite
Thank you,
Evelyn
Thank you very much for the detailed information!
Okay, so you weren’t talking about opening the protected page, but seeing the link to it in the menu. How did you set that menu up, could you show me?
And can you access the page protected with Level 1 and ccap fastlaunch, when the account has Level 1 but ccap is launch?
Looking forward to your update. 🙂

Hi,
I found the problem. Some of the pages had launch and one had something else for that group, a couple had fastlaunch. The menu items must not have shown up – not sure why.. I think it was coincidence that I was viewing the pages that said launch when I had a ccap of launch.
I got them all straight and then the menu works right and when I enter the URL of a page with a different ccap, it won’t show.
It does seem like I was able to view the page that said fastlaunch with launch as the ccap, but I’ll have to go back to my vid and make sure I didn’t coincidentally click on one of the launch pages. I assumed all of the pages were set right when I looked at the first one and it was right. There are 2 of us working on this site.
How I create the menu..
1. I use Genesis Framework
2. I use plugin genesis simple sidebar
3. I make a custom sidebar for the membership pages
4. On each membership page I tell it to use the membership sidebar.
5. I make a custom menu called member memu.
6. I go into the widget area for the membership pages sidebar and add a custom menu widget. I set the custom menu widget for the member menu.
S2member is smart enough to not show the pages on the menu that are not permitted – yay.
Thank you for your help – your questions helped me go back and re-verify everything.. so I found the problem.
Evelyn
That’s great! I’m very glad you sorted it out. 🙂
Let me know if you need my help again. I started a new s2 community forum where I’ll be more often than here, and you’re welcome to post your questions there.
