Strange behavior

I found a strange error, which is also in version 2.9.4. and 2.9.6.

I do not know whether the photo-album plugin contains the error.

I will try to explain it.

The photo album plugin has a landing page to show a photo gallery.

The URL looks like this in English:

mysite.com/photo-gallery/?wppa-occur=1&wppa-cover=0&wppa-album=4

The URL looks like this in Dutch:

mysite.com/nl/photo-gallery/?wppa-occur=1&wppa-cover=0&wppa-album=4

When I am on the English page and switch to Dutch then everything works fine. The page addresses are good.

But when I switch from Dutch to English it is no longer correct. The address is not correct, see example:

mysite.com/photo-gallery/?wppa-occur=1&amp;wppa-cover=0&wppa-album=4

Again, I’m not sure if it is the photo-album plugin that causes this error.

Update:

after testing, see this post here I also changed the default language in the qTranslate settings from EN to NL.

Now the URL has errors from EN to NL.

In my first post above the URL has errors from NL to EN.

I think there is a connection here with the other test.

Another update:

when I change my Permalinks settings to Default the URL changes work as it should and show the good content.

Other Permalinks settings give the error listed above.

Maybe this helps.

A virginal wp testsite with only qTranslate X active.

http://2014.opajaap.nl/?dummy=true&foo=13&bar=17

In the upper left corner you can see the blog title, being language specific, and the language selector in the first widget.

English is default language.

When selecting any other language, no problems,
when selecting english thereafter, it shows the problem.

WP permalinks set to Postname.

A workaround is UNticking the box in the advanced settings: Hide URL language information for default language.

I just verified on my testsite that there is no problem logging in when the workaround is applied.

Could you try it and see if the problem is gone?

The problem still exists in version 2.9.7.1b

See my original example:
http://2014.opajaap.nl/?dummy=true&foo=13&bar=17
where i installed version 2.9.7.1b

Go to the site, change language to anything but english, and then back to english, that shows the problem.
