Strange “\” before apostrophe

Hi!
I noticed that each time there’s an automatic message from the system (for example an order confirmation) there is “\” before the apostrophe. For example “Usa l\’ID dell\’ordine …”.
Also, in some products (such as this: https://www.brentarivermusic.com/prodotto/tracolla-personalizzata-per-chitarra-o-basso-tessuto/) the customer can customise with his own text and when he has to write an apostrophe, the order confirmation show the text with “\”. Do you know what’s the cause?

It seems like you are using an extension of some sort to add the text field here, correct?
If so, you could see if the extension is the cause and do some testing with it disabled. A staging site may be ideal for this so it doesn’t disrupt your live site. You can disable this extension and place a test order to see if the unescaped output still exists and apostrophes are appearing with the slash.
Either way what Will is saying is that somewhere, in some theme or plugin, it’s likely that there is a coding error and the output isn’t being escaped and causes formatting errors.
