As iOS started supporting from version 11.3, we are expecting those issue’s to be resolved by them upon their coming versions. It will be a waste of time for us, if iOS roll out a release which stores user sessions soon. Due to that reason, we are working more on features that helps PWA upon all browser’s rather than on a specific one.
Thanks, yes, I understand your opinion, but it doesn´t seem apple is developing anything further in the next time. iOS 12 had no new features due to PWA.
Do you know any third party plugin, which could set an authentification cookie. Regarding this (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9148376/ipad-iphone-how-to-keep-the-session-in-a-web-app) it should be possible by saving the authentification in a cookie. I´ve tried this, but it doesn´t work also. So cookies are also not served within a pwa at iOS?
As iOS 12 is a major upgrade, I think they will hopefully made some progress for PWA upon the sub version’s.
Upon iOS, currently Service Worker’s and the cache is deleting all the data once the session is closed.
Cookies seems to be deleted also. May you please test it your site?
I´ve found this plugin: Remember Me Controls (free), which can store user auth cookies.
Thanks and regards,
