# Store theme advice

 * I’m helping a friend convert his current electronics shop site to wordpress which
   I recommended, but I’m having trouble finding a suitable theme.
    It should basically
   be able to list products with an image on the front page, then show a description
   of the product maybe with a couple images.
 * I’ve found several themes that can do this, but they all have ecommerce plugins
   required. This is not needed as he doesn’t sell things online he just wants to
   display them.
 * Can anyone recommend a theme? Premium or free it doesn’t matter, he’ll be the
   one buying it.

 * If you want to specifically display “products”, you’ll need an ecommerce plugin.
   [eShop](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eshop/) for example allow you to 
   create a product catalogue without actually selling online.
 * Otherwise, a page based WP site should be all that you need. Any half-decent 
   theme should do for that.

 * Thanks, I’ll look into that plugin. I’ve never set up any sort of shop before
   so it’s a bit confusing even figuring out what I need.
