I am trying to update this plugin. When I run the recover via email procedures with the generated api key I get an error that says “Storage is not writable”. I checked the permissions for the sucuri-settings.php file to make sure it is writable (I set the permissions to be writable), but I am still experiencing the problem.

  • Hi there,

What are the permissions for /wp-content/uploads/sucuri and /sucuri-settings.php?

Hello @wespiper please check the permissions of the directory mentioned by my coworker [1] as well as the settings file [2]. If the issue persists please check with your hosting provider as there may be something in the configuration of your server that is preventing the plugin to write anything into those files, even if you set the proper permissions there are things that your hosting provider can block in order to prevent unwanted writes into disk.

Marking as resolved for now, feel free to re-open if the issue persists.

    [1] /wp-content/uploads/sucuri/
    [2] /wp-content/uploads/sucuri/sucuri-settings.php
