Stopping spam signups

    Hi all,

    So this has been an ONGOING problem for me for over a year. I know these signups are spam or hackers or something b/c they don’t post & they come in droves of like 5 at a time.

    Anyway, someone suggested Google’s Captcha, so I removed one of the captcha plugins I already had installed & used that & the signups got WORSE.

    Then someone suggested Register Plus Redux

    That did the trick & ALL signups stopped UNTIL someone e-mailed me the other day saying they couldn’t sign up. My website coder figured out it was the plugin. I hadn’t checked off “show” First name”, I only had it “required”, so no one could sign up LOL

    Now that this is fixed on the one blog (I have many), I’m getting TONS of spam signups again.

    This is driving me insane.
