Support » Plugin: Simple 301 Redirects » Stopped working

  • Pattaya_Web

Noticed problems with this plugin starting a couple of days ago abut the same time as same thing about the same time as Larry posted his report.

Thankfully we don’t have 1500 redirects to move. But for a news site this unreliability is intolerable for a simple thing such as redirects. And I don’t have time to wait to see if the developer responds.

Rating 1-star. Pity as I have used this for several years.

How far did you get when you raised a support topic to the author?

You can see yourself that the developer hasn’t responded to a support request for more than two months. Why should I waste my time joining the queue of the ignored?

I own a newspaper (a real newspaper, not a pretend one). I don’t have time to sit around and wait for a non-responsive developer. For all I know he’s dead.

I replaced this plugin with Redirection which worked immediately. Over 100 hits on 301 redirected urls in 12 hours; a very simple demonstration of the damage the unreliability of this product is causing.

Developers who don’t respond to support requests for more than one month should have their product marked as being unsupported.
