Support » Plugin: Gift Aid for WooCommerce » Stopped working

We use this plugin on our online shop here – https://shop.mndassociation.org/

And I noticed that within the last couple of weeks, the gift aid box has stopped appearing on the checkout. The box still shows when I export orders to a spreadsheet, but there is no option for people to tick in the checkout process.

Anyone know why it would suddenly stop working, and if so, how can I get it working again?

    Hello @@simonmnd,

First of all, I’d just like to apologise for the lack of support/attention you’ve received in recent months. I’ve been particularly snowed under with client work and as a result the plugin has been left in limbo during this period. However I’m now in a position to resume giving the plugin the attention it deserves.

Could you confirm the WP version, WooCommerce version and also the theme (along with version) that you’re running?

I can confirm that I’m not seeing the checkbox and associated text at the checkbox in my development build.

I’ll investigate the issue preventing the checkbox and text from appearing at the checkout now and get a fix up ASAP (hopefully this afternoon): I suspect this has been caused by one of the recent WooCommerce releases.

Furthermore, I’m currently mid-way through a behind-the-scenes re-factor of the plugin, and should hopefully be rolling out some improvements and new features later in January.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi @simonmnd,

Version 1.2.3 has just been tagged and resolves the issue with the missing checkbox and text at the checkout. This fix is working in my local development environment and on a live staging server so you shouldn’t have any more issues.

Although I’ve not yet read through all the changelog notes for WooCommerce, I suspect something to do with a change to the way the country in the checkout is manipulated has caused the issue. I’m now loading the Javascript that listens for country change once the full page has loaded, not just on the initial load.

    Thanks,
    Dave
