  • I suddenly stopped receiving notifications that people have filled out my form. Everything was working until it just stopped. I have checked all my spam filters and contacted the server, but there doesn’t seem to be an issue. And, it doesn’t appear that the plugin keeps a record or database.

    For now, I am using a different plug-in, but is there any way for me to retrieve all the lost data? Based on traffic to my site, I estimate I have lost approximately 500 forms in the last 36 hours.

    When users filled out the form, the plugin said that it had been done correctly but notifications did not come to me.

    Any and all suggestions as to how to recover the lost data are greatly appreciated.

    Users will usually get an error message from CF7 if email is not able to be sent. Once CF7 sends the email that’s the end of CF7’s responisibities. It doesn’t save the data from the form submission.

    M​​any professional WP Developers use ​​​Contact Form To DB to store all CF7 submissions in the WP database as a backup for situations like you are facing. It appears to be a very robust & reliable option.

    Once the email is sent by CF7 it’s just like any other email. Where your lost emails ​​are will depend on your email setup. If you focus on that you may find them.
