 * Hi all, I have a query regarding the warning messages I’m getting from Wordfence
   plugin on my sites re the Stop User Enumeration plugin.
    Wordfence advises me
   when a change has been made to a setting, but I’m not sure how to interpret the
   messages.
 * I’m a very basic user so I never make changes to plugins, so I wonder who or
   what is making the changes and whether I need to revert the plugin back to the
   original setting or leave it per the amendments?
    For example, today I received
   a message for the Stop User Enumeration as follows: Original version: Plugin
   URI: [http://fullworks.net/](http://fullworks.net/) Author URI: [http://fullworks.net](http://fullworks.net)
 * Modified version:
    Plugin URI: [http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/](http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/)
   Author URI: [http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/](http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/)
 * Can anyone tell me whether I should accept the changes or should I panic?
 * Thanks in advance.

 * The developers and users of this plugin would be the best people to ask. You
   can reach them here:

 * If you have automatic updates turned on for plugins, the plugin probably recently
   updated. The current version is 1.3.7, and on lines 4 and 8 of stop-user-enumeration.
   php, you can see the URL’s as described in the message: [https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/stop-user-enumeration/tags/1.3.7/stop-user-enumeration.php](https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/stop-user-enumeration/tags/1.3.7/stop-user-enumeration.php)
 * The previous version (plugin was updated ~14 hours ago) had the old URLs. See
   lines 4 and 8 in version 1.3.6: [https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/stop-user-enumeration/tags/1.3.6/stop-user-enumeration.php](https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/stop-user-enumeration/tags/1.3.6/stop-user-enumeration.php)
 * I’m confident that probably explains your message. The URLs Wordfence picked
   up on were actually changed from version 1.3.6 to version 1.3.7 of the plugin.
   It looks legit to me, but I’ll let you take a look at the differences and decide.
   🙂

 * Thank you both Steve and Clayton. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
   I’ll leave it as updated then.
 * I’ve checked and the plugin version is 1.3.7
    Original version 1.3.7 Plugin URI:
   [http://fullworks.net/](http://fullworks.net/) Author URI: [http://fullworks.net](http://fullworks.net)
 * Modified version:1.3.7
    Plugin URI: [http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/](http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/)
   Author URI: [http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/](http://fullworks.net/wordpress-plugins/)
 * So the modification has been made to the original version. Perhaps the plugin
   developers just made an additional update. I had only updated to the new version
   yesterday.
 * Thanks Steve for the suggestion to contact the developer. I should have thought
   of that.
    Thanks Clayton for your explanation. It looks like everything is legitimate.
 * Have an awesome day.
 * Cheers
