  • It was not compatibility between the plugins that was the issue there, but getting stop-spammer-registration to function with the Pro forms.

    As Jason explained in that thread, normally you won’t need that, because there aren’t many spammers who want to pay for anything! So it’s only if you’re using the Pro form for free registration that the issue really comes into play.

    The two plugins should work fine with each other without the code.

    We are using pro-forms for free registration as part of the measures to reduce fake user registrations by removing registration through the well-known /wp-login.php?action=register page.
    As the post was written a year and a half ago I was concerned that something had changed in that time

    No, I think it’s still the same, and that you’ll still need the code to have stop-spammer-registration work with the Pro forms. Nothing will break — to use your word — without the code, but stop-spammer-registration would be ineffective.

    Just if you are curious, check my plugin “KC S2M Pro Login Armor“, it stops spammers using Pro-forms.
