Stop Spammer blocks Paypal IPN with Cloudflare

I’ve narrowed down an issue where the Stop Spammer Plugin will block my Paypal IPN notifications back to my gravity form on my website. It appears to be some sort of header issue with Cloudflare.

If I deactivate your plugin, the issue goes away. Also, if I change my nameservers to the non-Cloudflare nameservers and I have your plugin activated, I have no issue.

If both are activated, the block occurs.

Here is the log to show the difference between an approved IPN and non-approved.

The first two entries show the site not linked to Cloudflare where the last entry is connected to Cloudflare.

Am I missing a setting somewhere in the plugin by chance? I do have the Paypal setting checked.

I’m current on your plugin version and Cloudflare’s plugin as well as WP
Any help is appreciated

It should be white listing paypal. There is a checkbox for it. That ip is specifically listed in the module.

I will verify.

I found the solution but is there a better way?

By unchecking “Block Spam missing the HTTP_ACCEPT header” and clearing the “bad cache” I got the Paypal IPNs.

How much protection am I losing?

I made a change to the way the ip address is shared. I think that it was using the non-cloudflare ip when it shouldn’t have.

Please download it from the beta page on blogseye.com and install it.

I will deploy it on my sites and watch it.

Also the version I downloaded from there had no version number change from the standard release as of yet right?

I have to keep the numbers the same so that the advanced automatic updates don’t revert it as soon as I load it.

It has to be white listing the paypal address – There is some subtle bug going on here.

I’ll be happy to give you credentials to my blog. (I chose it for testing purposes really instead of my client’s site where the issue crept up initially.) I’m also working with a sandboxed Paypal account.
