    hello i came across this document https://woocommerce.com/usage-tracking/

    as checking it out i noticed at the end there is a photo of the the setting to enable or disable this data sharing.

    Is this option already available or is it going to be added on next release on 11th of April?

    Hi,

    That’s right, that screenshot of that setting is not currently in WooCommerce at the moment. Looks like it has been added and merged.

    I would expect to see it in the 3.6 release.

    so they are already collecting data without asking? so i guess now they are forced to let users know about it and have the option to stop it or not. so all this time they were collecting all kind of data about plugins, customers orders while site owners must have the GDPR enable

    Hi,

    Thanks for the follow up questions, these are good questions.

    When you activate WooCommerce you are taken through the setup and during the setup you are asked about gathering usage data.

    if someone didn’t notice or wants to disable it afterwards? i guess they need to wait now until new update

    Hi,

    You can disable the collection at any time, no need to wait for 3.6.

    In that link I sent earlier, https://woocommerce.com/usage-tracking/, we talk about how to do that.

    still this option is not available in 3.6.2
