Stop people replying to notification emails

    My users keep relying to the notification emails (instead of clicking in the link in the email) for private messages and forum replies and these come to my inbox! This is annoying and times consuming.

    I have searched for a solution but found nothing.

    I want to edit the email notifications with a big red line that says “DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL”

    But I cannot find any info and all I have found suggests that it is not possible to edit the notification emails. What the.

    There must be a way, please help.

    First, identify exactly which plugin you are using for email notifications and then post in that plugin’s dedicated forum via its page in the Plugin Repository.

    For anyone with similar problem:

    I didnt think it was a plugin (hence posting here) but turns out it was 2 seperate ones, search the the .pot files for the text to edit and move the lines around or remove the “Subject” line, so users have to click the link to go to the website and view the reply / message.

    forum notifications (bbpress)
    wp-content/plugins/bbpress/bp-languages/bbpress.pot

    private message notifications (buddypress)
    wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-languages/buddypress.pot
