Stop logging me out!

    I just spent 10 minutes uploading multiple image files, another half hour organizing them into proper order and ensuring that most (but not all) were not linked to the media file. Insert into post. Nope, you’ve been logged out! What the hell?! This never used to happen with pre-4.0 versions, now it happens far too often. And now I have a bunch of images that are ALL linked to the media file, which I do not want, so I have to go and manually change each one! Then re-sort them again and hope that I don’t get logged out again.
    So my suggestion would be to stop logging me out. Please and thank you.

    Are you sure you don’t have a security plugin that is causing the logout? As far as I can tell the default is that WP keeps a session active for 48 hours.

    If you have a security plugin there may be a parameter you can modify to either extend or get rid of the idle timeout.

    I use Login Security Solution, but I do disable the Idle Timeout by setting it to 0 because I work at home and the only problem I have with others using my keyboard is when my kittens decide to play in the office.

    I don’t use any sorta security plugin at all. Unless Jetpack has something hidden in there (they keep adding stuff and I haven’t been paying attention), then I have nothing like that at all.
