    I've been wrestling with this issue for hours. I'm building a website using TwentyEleven and the menu and adsense banner keeps moving down right after the browser loads. This happens in Firefox and Internet Explorer (Chrome and Safari are fine) The TwentyEleven theme comes ready made with zeroed out margins, so, I don't know what could be causing the issue.

    My site is hidden for spiders until launch, meaning it's private, but below are css, html and links to screenshots.

    [ Code moderated, that's just way too much. For that many lines of code please use pastebin.com instead. ]

    Actually it will be eaiser for us to have access to your real site URL, so we can use Chrome's Developer tools or Firefox's Firebug plugin to test it on your site, instead of reading the codes...

    Thanks. I solved this issue by creating a menu background.

    #access {
    	background: #fff;
    	background-image:url('http://sitename.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/menu-background4.png');
    	background-repeat:repeat-x;
    	display: block;
    	float: left;
    	margin: 100px auto 30px 0;
    	width: 1020px;
    }

    Now, the menu links stays in place in relation to the background design. Happy motoring.
