# Stock updated trough database

 * Hi,
    my stock is updated directly by changing the variable in the database. Is
   there a way to make it work with this plugin to check with cron products that
   stock has changed and notify people when it’s back in stock ?

 * We support sending Instock Email automatically when you manage stock from a third-
   party inventory by enabling the option “Enable this option if you have updated
   the stock from a third-party inventory plugin”. (Admin Dashboard-> Instock Notifier-
   > Settings-> Troubleshoot Section->Enable this option if you have updated the
   stock from a third-party inventory plugin).

 * DO I need to check it only once ? We update the database stock every few hours.

 * Enabling the option once “Enable this option if you have updated the stock from
   a third-party inventory plugin” itself is sufficient because we do check stock
   for the product every 5 minutes.
 * (Admin Dashboard -> Instock Notifier -> Settings -> Troubleshoot Section -> Enable
   this option if you have updated the stock from a third-party inventory plugin)
