    Hello!

In the backend, when looking at Dashboard>Products>All Products I can see the stock status for each sku – so far, so good. However, when creating a variable product, it only displays the stock level for the primary item, not the other sku offered as a variation. So I have to enter each variation as a separate product so I can see the stock status. Is this the only solution?

    For instance:
I have a product called Grape, that in the all products list displays as such:

Grape Gra (sku) In stock (5) $205.00 – 275.00 (This is a variable product)

The 5 refers to the stock for only the one sku, although the variation also have a sku (GraB) and a stock quantity (2). As it can show the different prices, cannot it not also display the additional sku and stock status?

Grape Gra In stock (5) $205.00
    GraB In stock (2) $275.00

without creating a separate product for the variation GraB?

    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • I use the ATUM Inventory Plug-in on one of my sites with variants. When you use their stock listing you can select an item with variants and it will break the inventory out by variant.

    Hi there,

This isn’t possible out of the box as it would make for a difficulty UI to navigate in instances where stores have 1000s of variations 🙂

Aside from the plugin recommendation above, you could also look into using another 3rd party plugin like https://www.storeapps.org/product/smart-manager/ to give a spreadsheet-like interface.

Thank you for the follow-up! I found a solution, just as you have suggested, with the WooCommerce Stock Manager plugin.
