I have read the forum for this subject and tried the suggested short code and nothing works. The plugin is correctly installed and activated. When I enter in the short code in a footer, what appears on the website is a display of nothing but the short code. So something is not engaged or activated to cause the short code to produce the desired ticker tape of stock symbols. On the stock market ticker page, I have the API I received from Stockdio, so I am not sure what else could be the problem. Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, this is a very strange issue that we haven’t seen or been reported before. By your explanation of the issue, there seems to be something on your WP installation causing the problem, which may or may not affect all plugins. Have you tried to use another visual plugin to see if you get the same issue?

I have not tried another visual plugin to see if I get the same problem. Do you have a suggestion as to what I should try, the would be a good diagnosis tool? Thanks.

We don’t have any specific recommendation for a plugin to test, but any plugin with short code that displays something on your page should work.

Okay Stockdio. I installed the “Simple Banner” plugin and it works. All it did was put a banner at the top of my website, where I can type in any message I want.

    So, any ideas?

    Thanks.

Hi, as mentioned previously, we have never been reported this issue before. Please let us know the version of WordPress you are using. Also, can you please try some other Stockdio plugins, such as Historical Prices chart or Stock news, to see if you also get the same behavior?

I have version 5.3. I installed Historical Prices and during the install process got a notice that this plugin had not been tested with my current version of WP. Not sure if that even makes a difference.

I used the Historical Prices widget and installed it in my WP theme footer. Nothing happens. I will also note that I used the Stock Ticker widget to also install in my WP theme footer and nothing happens with the widget install.

I guess I could use the shortcode for the Historical Prices, but am thinking that it will not work either.

If the problem is not my WP version, is there a possibility of a conflict with another plugin? I have several plugins and am not sure how to test that without a lot of hassle (deactivating by trial and error). Or, could it be a resources issue? I have 28 plugins installed with Historical Prices now installed. Could that be robbing me of the resources I need to run this plugin? Thanks.

Also, are we sure there is not an issue with the API # I am using?

We will test our plugins with 5.3 to avoid the warning during installation, but we don’t expect this to be related to the issue you are experiencing. We don’t think it’s a resources issue but rather may be a conflict with another plugin.

This is not a problem with your API # because you would get a different error in that case, our plugin would actually run and would display a license error message.

I will be happy to try to debug the problem with your plugin, but you are going to have to guide me through it. I don’t see how it is good business to leave at “we have never had this problem” and then do nothing. I don’t think it’s any incentive for anyone to buy your premium service.

Hi, I think it was a misunderstanding, it was never our intention to leave you at “we never had this problem”. We put a lot of effort in trying to provide the best service we can. Our developers have already tested our plugins with WP 5.3 and will be uploading an update soon, although it’s not likely it will solve your problem. They would like to get in touch with you directly to test a couple options. Could you please contact us by email to info at stockdio dot com?

    Sure.

Hi, thank you for contacting us by email. With your input we could detect that the problem was actually in the theme/template you were using. It also helped us detect a small issue in our plugins, which was already solved an updated.
