Stock
-
Hi. For some reason, the plugin doesn’t take into account the quantity of products in stock. For example, it may be specified that there are 2 products in stock, but the customer can add an unlimited number (2, 3, 10, etc.). I’ve tried different settings, but nothing changes. And if the product is out of stock, it also doesn’t affect anything in any way, regardless of whether the “Exclude un-purchasable products” is yes or no. The problem is definitely not caching, as I disabled the plugins, but nothing has changed.

Hi @crazyhamster ,
Could you please share some images of the backend bundle settings and some links to your published bundles so that I can check them out from my end here?
The stock of the main bundle is binded to the item with the lowest stock quantity available in the list. When the Exclude unpurchasable option is enabled, the out of stock and unavailable/unpurchasable items will be left out when pressing the add to cart button.
I will provide further instructions after I can inspect the bundles on your site.
Best regards.

I’ve tried other settings. For example, I forbade the sale if one of the product was out of stock and removed the plus/minus button, but the bundles still remains available.
Hi @crazyhamster ,
I was able to check it on your site for a while. i still couldn’t tell the culprit now.
Please spare me some time so that I could check further and possibly, consult with our developers about possible causes. This might take some time, please be patient.
I will try to reach back as soon as I have some news.
Best regards.
Hello, guys. Any news?
Hi @crazyhamster ,
So I consulted your case with one of our developers. Today, I’ve got a response that the source of this issue might be the conflict with the AJAX add to cart because that plugin might override the min/max and stock rules of smart bundles and always add products to the cart.
Our developers said there could be another external plugin interfering with our plugin on your site. This could also be cach-related.
To be sure, you can kindly conduct the following troubleshooting steps on your site:
- Create a full backup of your site and keep in a safe place.
- Deactivate all other plugins, except WooCommerce and our WPC plugins. Check the functionality to see if it’s working or not.
- Reactivate other plugins one by one to find the source of the conflict.
- If above steps are not working, change to our WPCstore theme or any other WooCommerce specialized theme to check.
Since we are not allowed to ask for sensitive information on this forum so you will need to troubleshoot on your site to find the culprit. We can only provide some instructions though.
Best regards.
I changed the theme to the standard one and deactivated absolutely all plugins, but the problem persisted. I can still add out of stock products to the cart.
Hi @crazyhamster ,
Which theme have you chosen? Please choose a WooCommerce specialized theme such as Storefront by Automattic or our WPC themes. If you choose 2025, it’s not a standardized theme for WooCommerce from our technical perspective. A lot of elements were missing from that theme for WooCommerce features.
If possible, you can kindly make a screen recording video to let me know the testing process on your site so we can reproduce it on our dev site.
Caches sometimes interfere with the stock update so if your site keeps caches, it might not check stock properly until all the caches have been purged.
We are going to celebrate our big holiday – our National Reunification Day and the Internal Labor Day in 5 days so if your information comes after our today’s session, we will continue to provide support after 5 May 2025.
Best regards.
Hello again guys. Wish you a happy holidays!
I choose Storefront theme by Automattic and deactivate all the plugins except of Woocommerce, and your two plugins: WPC product bundles and WPC fly cart (I tried without this plugin as well and the result is the same).
I record what’s going on, when I add to card the products, that are out of stock. https://youtu.be/8CYSblZCuu4 If you need some more information, pleas let me know.
And thanks for your answers and work, your plugins are always the best!
Hi @crazyhamster ,
Thanks for the kind words.
I checked your video several times and check on our dev site again. There are some things I found out:
- It seems that there is an error with our WPC Fly Cart plugin – it could not check the stock of subproducts in smart bundle added to it.
- However, on the bundle page, the stock of both the subproducts and main bundle were checked properly: I could not add another bundle or change the quantity of subproducts to more than their available stock. The plus button is disabled when the stock is exhausted.
You can check my video here for more info: https://app.screencast.com/fY7hPYwanPBD1.
I will write a report to our developers so that they can check our Fly Cart again. Please do further test on your site without the Fly Cart plugin to confirm. I can confirm from my end here that when the Product Bundles plugin works alone, the stocks are updated properly.
I will get back to you when receiving any news from our developers. It might take some days since our developers are busy updating our other plugins to be compatible with the new version of WooCommerce and WordPress. We are having loads of new requests pending since our holiday. Thanks for your patience.
Best regards.
Hello again. No, the problem is not with the fly cart. This plugin works perfectly well. I tried without it and the result was the same. I’ll show you.
This video without fly cart plugin, but I can still add more products than there are in stock. https://www.youtube.com/live/2K70lmW596AI’ve tried deactivating absolutely all plugins except woocommerce and bundle products, nothing has changed.
Hi @crazyhamster ,
Oh, on watching your video again, I found out a point. The plus and minus buttons were enabled on your site. But on our dev site when I tested, I only use the arrows. I didn’t use the plus and minus buttons.
So I enabled the plus and minus buttons on our dev site, possibly the issue was with the plus and minus buttons from the quantity input added from the theme.
The designed buttons using our WPCstore theme is like this: https://prnt.sc/vghzTQcj3Kay.
Maybe you can try disabling the plus and minus buttons before checking again to see the results.
Best regards.
Unfortunately it’s not the problem either.
Hi @crazyhamster ,
I consulted our developers about your case. This must be an external conflict with something on your site, which disables the min/max limit applied on the plus/minus buttons. On our dev site using WPCstore theme, the quantity buttons/quantity input works perfectly on checking stocks of subproducts.
Unfortunately, we cannot inspect the backend elements to help you further according to the Forum Guidelines.
So my final recommendation for your case is to change the theme to any of our WPC themes or you can consult with a developer from your end to find the source of the conflict on your site for sure.
Best regards.
I tried one of your themes, WPCstore, and disabled the other plugins, but nothing changed. It’s sad, I really like this plugin. But thanks for trying to help.
Hello! You couldn’t help me with the problem, even though you spent a lot of time. And I finally realized what was wrong. Your plugin is absolutely not to blame for this (it works amazingly). But I would like to write a solution if someone else encounters the same problem.
Woocommerce has the “allow backorders” function, and it’s enabled automatically (this function didn’t exist before, or it had to be enabled manually). Because of this, you can buy an item that is not in stock. I’ve never encountered such a problem before, and so I only discovered it by testing your plugin.
I’m very grateful to you for your time and efforts to help.
