    Hi,

I downloaded AcyMailing a couple of days ago to try it out and initially it looked good. But I’ve hit numerous problems.

    Creating a template, the “Page” and “Article” Contents display tags which don’t work (e.g. {page:2913| display:title,image,content| clickable:1| wrap:0| pict:resized| maxwidth:150| maxheight:150}).

There dosn’t appear to be any standard way of creating an unsubscription link in emails.

    Saving a template is random.

A timeout message occasionally appears which seems to do nothing.

Looking for answers I’ve checked this forum, your website and your own support forum, where I found this message, posted yesterday, by one of your support staff: “For the moment AcyMailing 6 is still under development”.

    Is this correct?

  • Hi,

Tags replacement is currently in development (we’re working on it and this will be available in the next release => in two weeks)

Right now, we replace the content inserted by a piece of code ((e.g. {page:2913| display:title, image, content| clickable:1| wrap:0| pict:resized| maxwidth:150| maxheight:150}) which is then replaced when you preview the email (last step of the newsletter creation process) and when it is sent to receivers.

In the upcoming version content will be replaced and you’ll see the final content instead of the tag ({page:232|….})

In order to create an unsubscribe link you can find some information here :
    https://acyba.gitbook.io/acyba/template/create-a-template#insert-dynamic-text

    Saving a template is random.

The auto save is done every time you change something. There shouldn’t be any issue here 🙂
If something goes wrong then let me know so that I can take a look at the issue.

A timeout message occasionally appears which seems to do nothing.

We will improve this. This message is an information to make sure people won’t forget to save their work and see it be lost due to the session timeout 😉

As you may know we were first on Joomla and we’re now moving to WordPress.
There are still some things to improve but we’re working hard on it to make it perfect 😉

If you have any question / suggestions then I would be glad to know them!

    Have a good day

I’m not sure I understand what you mean.

“Tags replacement is currently in development” = It’s not there?

“the content inserted by a piece of code … is then replaced when you preview … and when it is sent to receivers” = It should work?

“In the upcoming version content will be replaced and you’ll see the final content instead of the tag= = It doesn’t work yet?

The template issue I can address separately.

It’s good that you’re on WordPress but really what you have on Joomla is irrelevant here, apart from giving an indication where you’re headed. It would be far more helpful if you said what you actually have available on WordPress, and stated what is still under development, rather than have us try to implement something which clearly isn’t there.

That said, this isn’t the forum for feedback on testing – it’s a support forum – and I doubt you’d want lots of apparently negative feedback. It benefits nobody. Am I correct in assuming you want feedback on your own Acyba forum?

    Hi,

Tag string replacement is working perfetcly during the send process.

    What I wanted to say is, in the next version we will replace this ugly string with the live content. So if you insert a WooCommerce product you’ll see what he will look like in the template instead of something like {wooCommerceProduct:12|test|example}

You can give feedback wherever you want 😉
We’re still improving AcyMailing 6 version to make it perfect for every one but as you may understand that’s a long-term work. But be sure that we’re doing our best to bring back all the best features.

If you want to discuss about this then feel free to send us an email via our contact form and ask Alexandre.
I’m the AcyMailing project Manager so I would be glad to hear what you think about this 😉

OK, got that working now thanks, although the formatting is not quite there yet. I’ll wait until the update in a couple of weeks and give it a fuller test then.

    Nice to hear this!
If you want to have a direct contact with me feel free to use the contact form then. I’ll be glad to reply to your emails 🙂
