[resolved] Still showing insecure parts of page (3 posts)

    Hi there,
    I've had real problems getting ssl to work on my website: http://www.reallysimpleseo.com, which I think may be a combination of the theme and plugins. So I stripped a page right down with no text or images to try and still no luck. https://www.reallysimpleseo.com/members/ssl-test. I also got https://www.reallysimpleseo.com/members/join-e-learning-centre which I'm working on as the main secure page.

    I came across your plugin, installed and set it up and now the pages are more secure, but there is still something that is causing it to be insecure.

    Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hey David,

    In the FAQ you can see my recommended method for identifying such cases.

    The page at https://www.reallysimpleseo.com/members/ssl-test displayed insecure content from http://www.reallysimpleseo.com/wp-content/themes/weaver/images/gr.png.

    In https://www.reallysimpleseo.com/wp-content/uploads/weaver-subthemes/style-weaver.css?ver=1 you need to make the path to that image relative instead of absolute.
    body {background-image: url(/wp-content/themes/weaver/images/gr.png); background-attachment: scroll; background-repeat: repeat-x;}

    The file does mention that it is dynamically created, so perhaps you change that value in the settings for your theme, or edit the code that generates the file to not use the absolute path.

    Hi Mike,

    Your information has been a great help, as I sent it to the theme developer and he sorted things out in no time.

    I'm writing some posts on using WordPress for online trading on my blog, and will recommend your plugin, as it does such a simple thing really well.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Best regards
