  • I’m still having problems with my popup comment window. go to http://oregonstate.edu/~vanbossd/
On nt4.0 using ie5, the browser crashes w/ some funky memory handling errors. on all other OS’s i’ve tried (98, 2k, xp) there isnt that problem. There is, however, another problem.
When the popup window opens, it generates twelve (12) times the number of places to leave a comment than it should. I’ve tried reinstalling that part of the DB, redownloading the zip and uploading all of the comment php files verbatim as well as stared blankly at the code for a few hours at work (they’re laying me off on friday, so what does it matter if i get work done or not, right?).
I’m using the latest beta (.72b).
as far as i can tell, its something wrong in the motor.
I can live with NT4.0-IE5 users not being able to leave comments but 12 places to enter your comments doesn’t work so well.
Oh yeah, i’ve already checked EVERYWHERE (that i could think of) for extra slashes where they shouldnt be and there aren’t any.
    Any thoughts?

  • Sounds like you’ve got a loop (likely an infinite one) in there somewhere you shouldn’t that is causing the form to be printed out repeatedly.

Doug, please just make a copy of your b2commentspopup.php file with the extension .phps . Then link us to it and we’ll be able to look at the code. Thanks!

Doug, have you tried going back to the original code with no modifications and working from there?

i nuked it all and reloaded. seems to be working with the default index.php. thanks for the help & such.
