• Three weeks ago I started a brand-new WordPress blog on my site, using the latest version, 2.3.3, because it (supposedly) fixes several serious security flaws. Following the instructions, I installed 2.3.3, successfully. However, I then got the notorious “cannot login because cookies are blocked” bug, which prevents me from logging in to my own blog and changing or doing anything.

I tried ALL the fixes mentioned in the various threads on that topic, and none of them worked. I also started my own thread asking how to solve the “cookie” glitch, and no one ever answered it. I’m at an impassse.

So, which course of action should I follow? :

    a. Delete everything I’ve done so far, and find an OLD version of WordPress that doesn’t have this “cookie” bug, and start from scratch by installing the antique version — risking opening myself up to security holes?

    b. Wait around indefinitely for someone to solve the 2.3.3 “cookie” bug or at least answer my question — waiting possibly forever?

    c. Just give up on WordPress altogether and try to seek out a different platform?

If I can’t solve this problem by the end of tonight, I’m going with option “c.” I need to get this blog set up ASAP and this one bug is totally stymieing me.
