While the posts marked as sticky show up on top as usual when the index loads, once the AJAX home filter is used to get posts of any category that the sticky is in (including back to “Show All”), it will appear in its regular chronologically-sorted position instead.

I’m really not familiar with AJAX at all, is this a established limitation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @oslaferbmon,

WordPress only displays the sticky post first on the “Home” page, so the sticky post not showing up first when a category is clicked in the filtration is part of the Core functionality. If you were to go directly to the page for the category that the sticky post is in (like domain.com/category/category-slug/), the sticky post won’t show up first there either (unless it’s also the most recent post in that category, of course).

However, it would be nice to have the sticky post show up when “Show All” is clicked, since users would expect the post grid to match what they saw when the page was first loaded when that filtration link is clicked. I’ll probably take a look at fixing that at some point.
