sticky posts and recent posts list

    I would like a news item flagged as sticky to also appear at the top of my recent posts list. Currently my recent posts list widget appear in date order regardless of whether an item is sticky or not. So a sticky post can disappear from the recent posts if there are newer posts.
    Any ideas?

    The sticky post functionality is only available for the main posts page and not for any other pages or widgets. In fact, you cannot add or configure anything in the Recent Posts widget other than the number of Posts etc. What you are asking for would require some custom coding. Or you could try looking for a suitable plugin,
