Click edit to see the checkbox). If checked, the post will be placed at the top of the front page of posts, keeping it there until new posts are published. As you appear to be using a non-WPORG theme, perhaps you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise? The most recent is at the top, if they are in date order (default) until you post something else, then they all get bumped down (they all roll over and one falls out, so to speak). * Sticky posts are supposed to stay up the top _even if_ new posts are published. That’s the whole point. What does it matter if you’re in a category archive of the main feed? Many blogs don’t even have a main feed – just categories. * Eg I have a website with events. Many events are in more than one category (live music, art exhibition, wine – many events involve all three, and should be displayed in each archive).
