Sticky Posts?

    Is there a way to have a specific post be always stuck to the front page?

    I currently have the home page show the latest posts.

    Is there a way to either have the home page show a specific post?

    Or is there a way to have the home page show a static page, but that page be a recent post?

    I tried setting the post as ‘sticky’ under the visibility section, but that didn’t seem to do anything.

    Options:
    1. Create a featured category, put the posts you wish to show in the slider in the “featured” category and use it as a filter for the slider.
    2. For the entire homepage to show specific posts, you need to create a new page template that does that.
    3. For the static homepage, see my reply here to see how to list posts on a static page.
    4. If you want sticky posts to appear in the slider, in /inc/featured.php change ignore_sticky_posts to 0 instead of 1.

    Did I miss something?
    This posts slider on the home page seems like a good idea. Wher can i find it?
    is it a plugin, or is it part of the hueman theme?

    If you set Theme Options > Blog > Featured Post Count to more than 1 it will turn into a slider. Example can be seen on the demo page.
