# Sticky post question

 * How can I make a post sticky that is NOT on the front page? My home page is static.
   I tried various plugins, and WP docs, but could not find an answer.

 * The sticky posts option only works by default on the front page. You could possible
   emulate this behaviour in a page template using [query_posts with the sticky post parameters](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts#Sticky_Post_Parameters).

 * I’d like to suggest for future version of WordPress that “sticky” also sticks
   a post at the top of any category that it is in.
