# Sticky Post order

 * I have four sticky posts on my sites front page. And the order seems, well… out
   of order. I can’t figure out how the sticky posts are arranging themselves. They
   don’t seem to be arrange themselves by post date. Ideally I’d like to choose 
   their order, much like I do with pages. Any help with how order is determined
   for sticky posts would be appreciated.

 * The sticky posts are listed in post id order. In other words, the order in which
   the posts were created – not necessarily published. If you wanted a custom order,
   you’d need to create [multiple Loops](http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop#Multiple_Loops)
   on your home page – each with a custom query.

 * Hope your still around because someone wrote a plugin to fix this. I experienced
   the same issues on [cat fancy](http://catfancy.net)
