Hey LL,
I discovered a small bug! Apparently, if you assign a post as STICKY and of a SINGLE CATAGORY, things work fine.
But when you assign STICKY and MORE THAN ONE CATAGORY to a post, then the post is replicated based on the number of catagories you assign it to. Hmm… wierd! Apparently this happens even if you DON’T assign sticky too.
I run WP 1.01 and have done all the 1.0 steps shown in your readme file including the one from 1.01.
I would love to make sticky posts for my WP, only i am using 1.2 RC1
will this apply?
dss
I’ve created another sticky post system. It’s viewable at http://blog.morydd.net/index.php?p=148
and can be viewed in action on the main page http://blog.morydd.net/
It currently works in RC2, but does not use WP-approved db calls because I could not get them working, if anyone is able to do this, let me know.
….where is the sticky.php file anyways?

Where does the < ?php if (empty($_GET) ) { include(‘sticky.php’); } ?> code go in the index.php file?
The <?php if (empty($_GET) ) { include('sticky.php'); } ?>
code goes in the index.php file wherever you wish your sticky post to appear, outside the WordPress Loop

Does it work with wp 1.2 Mingus?
Yes. I’d love to re-package it as a plug-in but I don’t have the skills needed to set it up that way. Any help with that would be appreciated.
@morydd: if you like I can re-package your alternate sticky post system into a WP plugin.
Hooray!
@hdstich: I would greatly appreciate it.
@morydd:
ok, but I need some spare time… (busy working for my company) 😉
