• Hi there,

I am having an ongoing issue with sticking the header to the top of the page. I am using free OceanWP Stick Elements feature on several sites and it seems to work fine on one landing pages (ex: https://www.struzenje-pencelj.si/), but I am having an issue on sites containing multiple pages (ex: https://www.top-potovanja.si/, https://www.gs-hrastnik.com/blog/). As a selector to be sticked I typed in #site-header, because nothing else seemed to work.

The issue with mulitp page sites is, that once I scroll down and the sticky header gets activated, the page starts to scroll up slowly, without me touching anything – some sort of auto-scroll action happens. I am not sure if you will be able to replicate this issue as I am experiencing it on certain screens, only. In particular I am using Chrome on Dell U2518D, 2560×1440 px, with recomended 120% scale for size of text (recommended and default set up for this screen by Windows). I am not having the same issue on my 13″ laptop, for example.

I thouth of buying pro “Sticky Header” would help fixing this, but before making the purchase I noticed to experience the same issue on the demo site: https://oceanwp.org/ocean-sticky-header/. First sticky header works without any issues, while when the second and all the following headers get sticked, the auto-scroll up happens again.

Can you please advice on what may be causing the issue and how to resolve this?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

To stick the header using Stick anything plugin, try to use header#site-header

On the demo page, there are multiple headers with sticky effects. Try to check the oceanwp demos for the sticky header.

Thanks – I get the same result.

As goes for your demo page with multiple sticky header effects, like I said, I get the same problem when I scroll down to the second header – the site starts to auto-scroll up.

So I am thinking it must be a theme thing and/or external screen related issue, which I also saw on client end.

Okay, are you also seeing this issue on the demo that has only one sticky header?

No, I am only seeing it here: https://oceanwp.org/ocean-sticky-header/

This may help – if I Minimize Chrome window, and ration of screen changes, the issue dissapears. If I Maximize Chrome window, the issue is there. Responsivenes may be an issue here…

Thank you for pointing on this. We will check it on our end.
