I recently enabled multistep checkout. When doing so whenever I click on the “Next” button from page one, the “Next” button on page two defaults to looking like it is selected. This could make a user think this button is inactive because I have hover on for all of the other buttons on the site, and this one is already in the “hover state”. Similarly, if you go to step 3 and then hit “Prev” the “Prev” button on step 2 will default to the “Hover” or “Clicked” color.

So basically what it is doing is remembering the state of that button from the previous screen. If you look closely when the page is loading it will actually put the “Prev” button on for the step two page BEFORE it switches to Step 2. So basically the Next button appears to be the SAME button that was clicked for Step 1, which is why it is staying “Clicked”.

Is there a way to fix this?

  • Hi there. I was able to reproduce the problem you mentioned. That is definitely odd. What are you using to create the multi-step checkout?

    Hey there!

Multi-step checkout is not something that WooCommerce does by default, typically that’s going to be added in by a plugin or theme. That would be the place that you would look for the settings and troubleshooting for the issues you are seeing.

The plugin/theme that added the multi-step will perhaps have support that you can contact as well, for more info.

Thanks I did use the customize of the theme so that makes sense. Sorry I didn’t think of that, I will reach out to them.

    Thank you!
