You can use the period and date parameters to configure which time period you want to show. Just look at this page of Matomos documentation: https://developer.matomo.org/api-reference/reporting-api -> Standard API parameters -> period and date.
Thank you!
I’ll try to figure out.
Hi Rovanov,
On https://alternatiefnieuws.org you put the Matono Stats for testing purposes. I already got the same as you in the “Matomo_test”, but how did you manage it to get this chart displayed in “Matomo test 2” in your footer?
I’m very interested also how you managed it to get displayed the matomo-stats for every site-visitor. As far as I understand, all the stats inserted via shortcodes only will be displayed for logged in users who have the right “view” in their role.
Kind regards, Gunther
Hello, Gunther.
I used the code below. I think I copied it from the Matomo webpage somewhere.
<div id=”widgetIframe”><iframe src=”https://analytics.alternatiefnieuws.org/index.php?module=Widgetize&action=iframe&containerId=VisitOverviewWithGraph&disableLink=0&widget=1&moduleToWidgetize=CoreHome&actionToWidgetize=renderWidgetContainer&idSite=2&period=day&date=today&disableLink=1&widget=1&token_auth=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX” width=”100%” height=”300″ frameborder=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ scrolling=”yes”></iframe></div>
I’m not very happy about this. In Times of Piwik, I believe there were more shortcodes available.
Succes!

Hi Rovanov,
thanks for your reply!
The code you are using is not working in my environment. I think thats because I am using the self hosted matomo. Also I cannot find a auth-token in my dashboard, which I would have to use for displaying stats.
But anyway – no problem with that 😉
My bigger desire is to have the stats displayed for every site-visitor like in your homepage. I anly can give logged in users the ability to view the stats, all other regular visitors will get the message, that there is nothing to show.
So I had to restrict the site with my stats for only logged in users.
How did you manage stats-visibility for all visitors?
Kind regards, Gunther
Hi Gunther,
I use the self-hosted Matomo too.
You need to modify the code to your website. Then this should just work, it has to work.
The domain analytics.alternatiefnieuws.org, is the domain where Matomo is installed and run.
You will find your token in the Matomo area: Settings -> API -> User authentication
I’m using the same code here: https://wakkermens.info/privacybeleid/
This Website is on another server, but the data comes from analytics.alternatiefnieuws.org
Kind regards,
Rovanov

Hi Rovanov,
thanks for helping me! My screen on “Settings” looks like you see on screenshot https://www.bildungsserver.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Screenshot-2020-12-19-at-12.49.34-1-scaled.jpg
I can not find any API 🙁
I have Matomo installed directly in Plugin-folder:
http://www.bildungsserver.net/…/plugins/matomo
Is different to your installation. You installed Matomo in a subdomain.
Maybe thats the reason for my Matomo does not need API. If is like that, it would not be possible to use Matomo for other websites too, as long as installed in Plugin-folder?
If I need to install Matomo in a subdomain, how can I do this?
Would be glad you could help me in this case!
Cheers, Gunther
Hey, Gunther, kannst du mich hier eine Nachricht hinterlassen? https://wakkermens.info/contact Es könnte ueber Email einfacher sein.
